Research Groups

This format of presentation aims to promote the work carried out by teams of researchers of different levels of education who are dedicated to discourse studies. It is also to strengthen the dialogue between these different groups and different objects, theoretical frameworks and analysis methodologies.

The group must be characterized by a research they condut together and this research does not necessarily need to be the same registered at CNPq, even though it is interesting that it is justified for that reason.

ABSTRACTS SUBMISSIONS

It is of total responsibility of the coordinator (or coordinators) to register the research group by sending an email to (ciadufscar@gmail.com). The subject of the e-mail must be GROUP REGISTRATION and it must have independent Word files (.doc), with an individual abstract for each member of the group who is going to participate in the event and also an abstract with general information about the group. These abstracts must be formatted and named following the General rules and guidelines for submissions.
The coordinator and the group members should proceed to the registration as described in the Registration tab.
After receiving the letters of acceptance for the group presentation, the coordinator and the research group members should individually provide the payment by sending an email to (ciadufscar@gmail.com) with the subject REGISTRATION PAYMENT, asking how to proceed.

PRESENTATION

The COORDINATOR (or coordinators) of the research groups is responsible for:

Deciding how many and which are the most relevant papers to be submitted and presented in a time limit of 40 (forty) minutes, with 5 (five) to 10 (ten) minutes for questions and answers.
Determining a format of presentation that is proper to the participants, considering the total time of the group presentation.

LIMIT OF PARTICIPANTS IN EACH GROUP

There is no limit to the number of participants in each group. The coordinator is responsible for deciding how many and which members should attend the presentation, considering the total time for the group (40 minutes).

REGISTRATION IN MORE THAN ONE RESEARCH GROUP

If the researcher is a member of more than one group, it is possible to register for up to two groups. In this case, it is not necessary to make the payment of two inscriptions.

UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT PARTICIPATION

Undergraduate students who conduct undergraduate research that are interested in presenting a paper can apply for presentation in the modality Research Group (if the undergraduate student is member of a research group) or in the modality Panel.

Posters

Professors, researchers, graduation and post-graduation students (under the supervision of an advisor), whether connected to a research group or not, may participate in this modality and present the results of their research projects in the form of a poster.

Guidelines for the making of the poster

The making of the poster is the participant’s responsability.

The poster should be made under the measure of 100 centimeters or 39 inches high and 75 centimeters or 29,5 inches wide.

Other poster dimensions will be exceptionally accepted as long as they are not smaller than 60 centimeters (23,6 inches) wide or larger than 130 centimeters (51 inches) high.

Para facilitar a inscrição de participantes estrangeiros, o pagamento poderá ser efetuado no credenciamento do evento, dia 12 de setembro.

Para facilitar la inscripción de los participantes extranjeros, el pago puede ser realizado el 12 de Septiembre día del evento, en el momento del registro.

Pour faciliter l’inscription des participants étrangers et éviter des frais, le paiement peut être fait à l’accueil du colloque, le 12 Septembre.

Deadlines and values

From February 26th to ~~June 22th~~ July 13th WITH presentation. The payment should be effected only after receiving the acceptance letter.
From February 26th to September 1st WITHOUT presentation (as listener). The payment can be effected any time, until the billet’s expiry date.

PS: In order to facilitate the registration of foreigner participants, the payment may be effected on the event’s accrediation day, September 12th.

PARTICIPATION MODALITIES

REGISTRATION

In order to register it will be necessary to fill two forms. The first of them is just below and consists of a general cadastre in which the participant informs one’s general data and the modality of participation.

The second form, which is in the tab INSCRIÇÃO > GERAR BOLETO, is what actually will effect your registration for the event through your payment. So as to make the registration easier for foreign participants, the payment can be made on September 12th during the event.

We emphasize that:

REGISTRATION WITH ORAL PRESENTATION: the billet should only be generated after you receive the acceptance letter.

REGISTRATION AS A LISTENER: after sending the general form, the billet can be generated at any time until September 1st.
